I have seen $750 off coupons for latitudes and 30% for vostros but very little regarding the precession line up. Does anyone know where I can get precision coupons or what would be a good way to negotiate over the phone for a "promotional discount."

There were 20-25-30% off coupons (and up to 20% in the outlet) floating end of last year. You might tell them to cut you a deal or you'll hold on till the next coupon batch arrives. Mentioning a nice deal on Lenovo or HP ain't a bad idea either.

I was only able to pull about 15% on the m6400 Covet recently, and that was after adding several accessories such as an LCD, docking station, and stand. They did offer me a 5yr warranty on the phone that is not available online, thus, add that into the fray.

Several of the accessories are cheaper to get directly, such as extra ram (30% off). Price out components on Dell's site before adding them to the machine; drives, memory, etc.

I mentioned the big coupons and deals with lenovo, but got no-where. I also made them sweat by "calling other vendors" about similar offerings.

I never see any coupons for Vostro. If you come across any send me a PM.

When I order my laptop (see signature), I just ask for a price.. and they give me free shipping (of course), 350$, a bunch of free upgrades like like DVD-burner, Intel wireless N 5100, backlit keyboard and larger HDD, and I think the WXGA+ screen as well or was it the 9-cell battery.. .anyway.
Then I pushed for extra 50$, which I got.. and then he said he will have to let me go.
The laptop fully updated cost over 2000$ Can, I paid ~1600$ Can.
