Someone told me that Vista discs have all the versions of Vista on them but which version is installed depends on the key entered.

I have a Vista Business license and I stuck a Dell Vista Ultimate 64 bit disc in my Latitude E4300 thinking that at some point it would ask me for a key and it would install Vista Business 64. I was never asked for a key and the disc just dumped Vista Ultimate 64 on my laptop.

It's activated, works and updates fine...What the heck happened?

You need to have a key to keep it legally. If you do not, which you dont, you need to remove it. End of discussion.
