I love this laptop but the areas around the keyboard have got this rubbery finish and dust immediately sticks to it and can't be brushed away. Anyone else find it annoying and found a solution? Perhaps coating it with something? I can see why Dell did it because it feels a bit more luxurious but it's not very practical.

I presume it is similar to the coating on the E6420.
I have to wipe it down with a damp rag periodically.
I find that cleans it up pretty well.

It is annoying, I keep a small glass cleaning cloth in the bag. I find that the rubbery finish smoothed out a bit over the years. But it is not consistent, my second E6530 is a bit worse. However, fantastic laptop. Can't say enough good words about it and still can't find a replacement that does not sacrifice something !
