Okay, so far this computer has exceded expectations. However, the Audio quality is WAY under expectations, almost to the point that I want to return it. And I am one that is not picky about audio, but this almost hurts the ears while listening. It sounds like someone is constantly adjusting the volume up and down very rapidly, but not a huge change in volume, just chaning really fast. The sound is also very "tin"y, hallow, and flat. I notice it most in iTunes and youtube with both internal speakers and headphones. I am not an audio geek at all and was quite confused by the IDT settings. Any help on trying to get this adjusted? The quality is almost unbarable.

UPDATE: Well, I went it to the SRS premium sound and completly disabled it and it helped a ton. It still isn't very good, but I guess I didn't expect it to be being a business class notebook. Anyways, I still think it is under expectations and could use some fine-tuning... Anyone have any input on adjust audio?

I had the 4/24/09 6.10.0.6187 IDT 92HDxxx HD Audio Driver A08 R217834.exe installed and felt the sound warbled in volume. So I uninstalled the IDT driver via Control Panel/Programs and rebooted to install the default Vista64 audio driver by Microsoft. Seems to sound better and may now be one less driver to maintain seperate from the OS.
