    Hi guys,

    I was wondering if anyone could tell me if is possible to see the ownership history of a particular laptop. I notice someone mention something about service tags. Would the service tag tell me how many owners a particular computer had and why it was returned. I just brought a E6400 and wanted to see why it was returned and how many previous there were. Appreciate comments.

    I don't think Dell provides that kind of information... you know, privacy concerns. Especially if this is a refurb, you're not going to be able to find out anything about the previous owner/purchaser(s).

    Thanks for the quick response.:D I hope the service tag would tell me how many previous owners a computer had, not how who they were. If its regarding privacy issues I understand, oh well.:)
