Help needed with flashing an Nvidia Quadro M5000M

I own a Dell Precision M6800 laptop and decided to upgrade the GPU. I purchased a new Nvidia Quadro M5000M GPU with 8GBs of ram from a vendor on eBay. When it arrived I installed the card but the Nvidia driver would not install saying that there was no compatible hardware installed. I then looked at it in Device Manager and there were two GPUs, the Intel HD 4600 as well as the new GPU. However it was not being reported as a Quadro M500M but only a GM204 and had a generic Microsoft VGA driver installed. I then looked at the card using GPU-Z and it identified the card as GPU GM204 and listed the Revision, Technology and Die Size however it did not see anything for BIOS version but did list the Subvendor as Dell and the Device ID as 10DE 13F8 - 1028 15CD. Everything else in GPUz is blank. I then clicked on the "Lookup" button and GPUz took me to the correct page on TechPowerUp.com that describes my GPU. This GPU obviously was obtained directly from where it was manufactured and though it is for Dell it has never had a Dell BIOS put on it. I then looked at the BIOS archive on TechPowerUp but could not find this card listed however when I put this device id number into their search box it took me to a page that had a BIOS that had been uploaded so I downloaded it. Thinking that now that I had a BIOS for the card I would soon be using it but I have run into several issues trying to flash the BIOS.

I found a tutorial describing flashing the card from the cmd program on Windows 10. I downloaded the latest version of nVflash nvflash_5.469.0 I then followed these steps
1 I downloaded nVflash (after unzipping there were 3 files nvflash, a text file, and a file named nvflash64. I assumed that the file nvflash was the 32bit version of the program and the one named nvflash64 was the 64bit version.
2 I renamed the bios file to M500Mbios.rom
3 I created a folder nvidiabios in the root directory of the C drive and moved nvflash and the M5000Mbios.rom into this folder.
4 I double checked that the GPU as disabled.
5 I launched a cmd window as admin
6 at the command prompt I cd to the folder c:|WINDOWS\system32>cd c:/nvidiabios
7 at the next prompt c:/nvidiabios>nvflash M5000Mbios.rom -6 and hit enter
the following was then displayed
Nvidia Firmware Update Utility (Version 5.469.0)
Copyright (c) 1993-2018, Nvidia Corporation. All rights reserved.
then I received this ERROR: You are run 64-bit application on 32-bit Windows. Please use 32-bit application instead.
I do not understand why I am getting this error, I thought that the nvflash was the 32-bit version

I obviously am doing something wrong somewhere. Do any of you here have any ideas?

Probably need to mod the .inf nvidia driver

 

You don't need to flash the card (probably), you need to modify the driver INF file. This is always required when loading an unsupported GPU into a Precision system.

Try flashing using a DOS bootable stick. It worked for me when I couldn't use the cmd method. When I got an HP M5000M for my Clevo, I flashed it with a Clevo VBIOS using the DOS bootable stick method.
