    Hi,

    Considering
    - viewing angles, strain, games, photoshop, resolution, movies, screen door effect etc. etc., what's recommended for M4800??

    FHD (1920x1080)
    -- OR --
    HD (1366x768)?

You are confusing the display resolution with the display quality which depends on the technology used.

However, the low resolution displays also tend to be of inferior quality. I'm surprised that they are an option for a workstation where a display capable of showing good graphics is a fundamental expectation. Go for the FHD.

I thought the M4800 only had FHD and QHD+ options?

That's a more plausible pair of options and one that is more worthy of debate.

Personally, I'm wary of resolutions higher than FHD on this size of screen because of increasing reliance on display scaling to work properly.

However, younger eyes may be able to handle the small print that can arise when the scaling doesn't work or they decide that it's not necessary.

The M4700 had a 1366x768 option, I wouldn't be surprised if the M4800 also had one (regardless of how stupid that is).
