    Hi,
One guy on the dell forums told me that his e6500 WUXGA can run on the lower 1680x1050 resolution with NO image quality loss. This is something hard to believe. Could you confirm on this, and if possible post some screenshots on both resolutions? This topic located here if you are interested : dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_general&message.id=292681

The thing is that I'm into buying e6500 but 1920 is too much for me - while 1680 is the perfect match. However, for some reason I don't know, dell does not offer such screen.

    Your help is very appreciated!

The thing is the pixels on a 15" WUXGA are so small that it should look ok at 1680x1050. BUT, as with all LCDs, it won't be as sharp.

Though in Windows you can tweak various display settings so it could look ok on a 1920x1200. I've read somewhere that Vista does a better job handling hi resolutions on small monitors than XP.

    But honestly, a 19x12 was killing my eyes on a 17" :-/.
