Does Dell have a glossy screen option on any of their Latitude E series notebooks / preferably their ultra portables? Ordered a e4200 and was told by Dell when ordering that this was an option. It came and it does not have the gloss screen. Ugh...

I'm looking for the Apple/Vaio type glossy screens but don't want either an Apple or Vaio :D

Can't seem to get a straight answer out of Dell on this one.

    Thanks!

The E4200 comes with what Dell calls an "anti-glare" screen; it is NOT a glossy (TrueLife) display (which, to be honest, aren't all that great anyway). I believe the only E-series with a TrueLife option is the E5500.

Vaio and Apple screens look good because they are high quality screens, not because they are glossy.

Just because it is glossy does not mean it will look good.

    someone who WANTS glossy?

Personally I can't stand trying to compensate for the reflections when I'm working in photoshop. And if you use it in a brightly lit room, like a business or school or outdoors, you see more room than screen.
