Dear Friends , Please i need your help i have an offer to exchange my latitude E6410 with an E6420 for a little money but i am really confused about whether to do it or not both are almost the same config the nvidia the core i5 250 hard except for of course the the second gen i5 and 4200 nvidia in the e6420 .
All i care about is the build quality a lot of people are saying the e6410 is more durable than E6420 and its alot like a consumer model and the thinkpad t420 is way better in terms of toughness please i need help from people who already owned both machines

    thanks in advance

Screen format is the biggest change from the E6410, and the 16:9 screen is shorter and wider. Not only does this make the laptop bigger, but the reduced height is less optimized for working with documents (standard 1366x768 resolution is terrible, but the 1600x900 option has a significantly higher DPI).

Performance-wise, the difference is not significant, but yes, you will lose the battery meter (although newer build E6410's don't have it either, it was discontinued in early 2011) and ALS. Even though the E6420 doesn't look quite as professional as the E6410, it's should be more durable than the E6410.

For me, I don't want a screen with high DPI and also prefer 16:10, so I'm sticking with the E6410 for the 1440x900 screen. If you don't mind the E6420's design and want a bit more performance, go for the upgrade.
