    Specs were:

    Intel Core i7 M640
    Nvidia Quadro FX 2800M
    250 GB HD (Hitachi HTS725025a9a362) 7200 rpm
    4 GB DDR3 RAM
    WUXGA display 1920 x 1200 (LGD0241 panel)
    Back-lit keyboard
    No webcam
    Windows 7 64-bit Professional
    Dell Gold Warranty until 6/2014

There are no blemishes on the outside as far as I can see.

Boots up and runs fine, no issues.

All for $600 plus tax. Did I get a good deal?

The Bios is now A06. Should I upgrade to A07? Generally speaking, should I upgrade all the recommended drivers and firmware on Dell's support site?

    Thank you

It's not cheap enough such that I'd buy it just because it's cheap, but if you have been looking for something comparable, it is a pretty good deal. I wouldn't worry about updating the BIOS unless you are having some problem, and think a BIOS update could solve it. It rarely hurts to update it, though.

^ For the color of course. And edge to edge glass screen.

If you do get a chance to see it with your eyes, you will definitely crave one.

I dislike the color orange on a laptop.

    I dislike glossy screens.

I'm pretty happy with the M6500 as it is.
