Some info I just came across and which I thought might be useful to Latitude owners or similar (I apologize if this has been discussed / posted already)

This is a tech notice that will hopefully help other Dell Latitude D620 users diagnose a specific issue.

If you own a Dell Latitude D620 laptop with an Nvidia Quadro NVS 110 graphics chipset, do NOT update your driver to the 3/26/2008 174.31 driver revision. If you do, you will have issues using external monitors and projectors. I just had to downgrade 40 laptops after recently updating to the latest revision.

Symptoms: You connect certain monitors or projectors and they are not detected causing the driver to be unable to switch to “clone” display mode (via Nvidia Control Panel *or* by Fn-F8).

Solution: Use the previous driver update which was dated 12/11/2007 with version 156.83 or update to a newer driver revision. As of August 2008, the December 2007 drivers can be found here.

This may also affect Dell Latitude D820 users. I will post an update on Monday after some testing.

This issue does NOT affect Dell Latitude D630 or D830 users.
