Expedited order for Precision M4400 - 48 Hours Production Time ???

I bought a Precision M4400, Dell rep said it will be an expedited order, that based on his experience takes 48 hours the production process, any feedback on that ?, any previous experience with expedite orders ?, it's a true statement the 2 days production time ?, thanks

 

yea mine was delivered on 3 days from order. so for example i ordered today, and it arrived two days later. but then again i bought mine in malaysia, and for the APAC region they're made in malaysia...but transport is ground transport, not air like for example aussie orders

 

My original E4200 (order placed day of release) took about a month to be delivered (Next Day shipping). The replacement I got was "expedited" by an engineer (not a normal tech) and was delivered in 4 business days from when the order was placed.

If they want to they can stick you at the head of the line.

 

i travel a lot between the far east and europe, several months in each location. i normally make my laptop purchases in malaysia, in early january about a week before im due to depart back to europe.

basically they can get it to you in 3 days if you mention you're travelling, it always worked for me. but even the standard shipping time is 2 weeks from the malaysian factory. i wonder why other locations takes so long?
