exchange d630 batteries?

    Upcoming middle of Dec will be 1 yr since I've purchased my D630 from Dell. When I ordered the laptop, I added the option for an additional 6-cell battery.

    What's the process in exchange both batteries for brand new ones before my 1 yr comes up? Do they send me the replacement first before I send them my current ones?

    Are your batteries defective, or are you trying to replace them proactively?

    If they are defective you'll have to prove to Dell that your battery is defective and has worn down in an abnormal amount of time. You can't really replace them proactively (E.G. "Iv'e used the battery for a bit and want to exchange it before it dies")

    If you ordered an additional battery, it would have came at the same time as the laptop, you wouldn't have had to send one in to get the additional one.

    What is wrong with the batteries? If nothing is, dell wont just give you a fresh set for nothing.
