After installing a new HDD for a friend's Mac, I realize it's time to work on setting up a backup system. The old drive's S.M.A.R.T. status was bad. I have an Icy Box USB 2.0 enclosure that I used to rescue the old Mac HDD, and found Apple's Disk Utility very useful for cloning the old drive to the new disk. Unfortunately, as we know, USB 2.0's bus speed leaves a lot to be desired. I am looking at a few enclosures that have esata ports. Does anyone have any experience with one in particular, and also, any good software for cloning the hard disks? With OS X it was a very easy process, I am hoping it's as easy with Win 7.
