    I do find the plastic build of the Latitude 3340 kinda nice for basic computing. Feels quite robust despite the little weight. Time will tell whether it will have the longevity standard of the other Latitudes though. Pity that Dell only doing push marketing for that particular model for education. As for my personal use, I am still keeping 3 units or 6k series. One sits in dock permanent, the 12 inchers I lug around with me and one 6340 i5 with HD+ screen I just keep in the closet. I still do purchase used 6k series for friends that are looking for a reliable laptops and usually I upgrade the storage to ssd and do clean win install afore passing it on. I particularly like form factor of the E6330 i7 with 256 ssd. Its a pretty mean machine in a solid form without the bulk of the bigger brother 6430. Somehow them keys on keyboard feel crisper too...
