I get it back, and now my touchpad doesn't work, and they didn't put my wireless card back in! (dell 1390)

I've had bad experience sending notebooks into Dell for repair. Now I go the email support route at Dell and have Parts only Support where Dell ships the parts to me for replacement. They include the DHL return label in the box so It's actually pretty convenient.

Anyways, they probably just forgot to attach the touchpad cable on your notebook: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1420/en/SM/palmrest.htm#wp1106683

Also, you may consider upgrading to the wireless Pre-N 1505: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=430-2407

Well now my 8400m GS is idling at 71c, and hit 104c after 3 mins of LOTRO.

Holy crap. That's some tough luck. The workers are probably careless. I've heard so many bad stories about broken parts and scratched paint that I am thankful nothing has happened to me yet.
You may want to check the wireless card connection. It isn't easy to get to it if I remember. Hopefully someone here has a guide.
    Sorry man.

getting to the wireless card on the 1400 is a cinch, just pop off the keyboard.

I've spoken with another Customer Service rep who has spoken with and sent very specific notes about my problem to the repair depot. hopefully this time they can get it right... HOPEFULLY.

I'm still upset however and am seriously considering contacting Dell and demanding some sort of compensation...
