I got an E6420 from Dell Outlet about a month ago. Worked fine for about ten days and then no sound. Dell replaced the speaker to no result. Re-installed Windows to no result. Replaced the motherboard and it's still the same. I can hear the sound in BIOS running diagnostic but not in Windows. I'm thinking some conflict between the sound card driver and something else. when I open the audio mixer, I also see a column for WIMAX, in addition to device and application, which is weird. I tried uninstalling all the drivers related to wifi but that didn't do anything either. Has anyone else experience this or similar?
