I know a lot of it boils down to personal taste as far as higher resolution on a 15" screen, but do those of you who have experience with the E6530 think the 1080p screen is an all around better screen than the 900p, i.e. color, viewing angle, clarity of text?

I have the E6530 with 900p screen and it's just plain awful. Worse than my other notebooks which are 4 and 5 years old. I don't know about the 1080p.

Wow, I hadn't heard anyone describe it so strongly...what is so bad about it?

Whites are blue-whites, blacks are not deep-blacks and the colors are just plain bad. Go to a store and look at the cheapest monitors with a TN panel, that's how this display is. As I said above, my vaio B series from 5 years ago is way better than this latitude. For this reason I'll never buy a dell again.

Has anyone compared the 1080p screen to the 900 version on the 6530? Are colors and blacks much better?
