Below the touchpad, my left mouse button's rubber finish is coming off.

This is causing it to raise and it looks like a wave - it's getting more and more annoying to press the button, and it's not comfortable to rest your finger there anymore.

Anyone had a similar issue? I'm still under warranty, but it seems silly to have someone come to replace it...

its not that hard to replace the palm rest on them. i had a similar issue with a coworkers laptop, same exact thing, dell just sent me a replacement palm rest, it includes the touch pad, clickers, fingerprint reader and contactless smart card reader if you had it.
and if your still under warranty take advantage of it!

Ok, will do. Can I just ask for a left mouse button? Don't need the whole 9 yards, and I may be asking them for a new WWAN card soon.

it all comes as one piece, its easier to replace the palm rest than the individual button on it, its just a couple of screws, i think its the 5 screws on the bottom to remove the main cover, followed by the 3 screws to remove the keyboard, then another 4 screws marked with a P and the palm rest comes off.
you can just contact them through online chat, that is what i do, just have your service tag on the ready :D
ooh and be careful with the little orange part that surrounds the keyboard take it easy on it.

You mean, be careful of how they didn't put all the necessary screws into that part? Lol.
