E6510 won't turn on

I just came back from a weeks trip and my latitude E6510 won't power up. The light on the power cord is lit, but nothing else will light even when I hold down the power button. No flickers, fans, nothing. I have tried taking out the battery, letting it charge for a couple of hous etc. Any ideas as to problem or houw to fix? Laptop is less than 2 hrs old. Help! Thanks
