    Hey guys,

I want to upgrade my dell latitude E6510 (i5 540m @ 2.53 GHz) to 16 Gb ram. In the laptop's datasheet it is written that it supports up to 8Gb ram. I believe that this was written in the times when 4gb was the largest module to be possibly installed.
Has anybody tried to install 8x2 Gb ram in this laptop (dualcore version)?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

This computer supports a maximum of 8GB of memory when installed with two 4GB DIMMs. There are 2 DIMM slots, each with capacity of 1GB, 2GB, 4GB. The memory type used in this system is DDR3 1067 MHz. The system board may not support two 8 GB RAM.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks and regards
