My WUXGA LCD on E6500 is defective. First of all, overall the light is not even. The bottom is brighter than other area, and the two bottom corners are dark. I read threads on Internet and knew it was design problem, so I had planned to stand with it, until I found a dark spot.
Then I asked for replacement. However, I replaced twice and both of them are even worse - There is a big (about 5x10mm) dark area in middle of screen. It is not so apparent when looking from front, but when looking from sides it's obvious.

    All three LCDs are SEC5443.

Are there other models for E6500 WUXGA?

That is a Samsung screen, with which many users have reported problems. Ask for a Phillips screen, or ask for the SEC5442, which I have read in here does not have problems. I do not have an SEC5443, and do not have problems.
    Good luck...

The E6500 I have has an LED WXGA+ SEC5442 and it's pretty nice looking.

The SEC 5443 is jsut a crappy screen. The bleed at the bottom and dark corners seem to be a design flaw. The dark spot in the middle is new for me though...would make it even worse indeed. Maybe try asking for a Philips again or maybe even get it replaced for the WXGA LED?

I have the SEC5542 LED, lighting is very even, no bleeding, if anything there is a *very* slightly darker band for the top inch if you don't set the screen at the right viewing angle, that's all.

Ehm yeah...that's a diff screen...the SEC 5443 i mentioned is the 2CCFL WUXGA screen which is what the thread is about. I you can't "live with it" try getting a different screen, all you can do really.
