E6500 to be returned for problems

I just spent 45 minutes with a Dell tech online working on 2 hardware problems with my E6500.

- Backlit keyboard doesn't work (never has even though I paid for it)

- Microphone on integrated webcam doesn't work.

I'm told I need to send the machine into Dell (minus the hard drive and battery) and they will fix my problems. They are sending me a box for shipping. I was told to leave the RAM installed (4GB).

Machine was purchased last October thru business account along with Complete Care warranty.

Anyone have any experience sending machines back for service? I'm a little nervous sending in a machine that has been working just fine... except for these couple of issues. Tech said motherboard would probably be replaced to deal with issues.

Any ideas or things I should look out for would be most appreciated.

I've sent several of my Dell laptops off to Dell repair before. It worked out real well. Never had a problem. They come to your house with a very well built cardboard box, load the computer up, then haul it away. Three days later, it's back at your door all fixed and ready to go. No fears, it will all work out fine. Always has for me.
