Had some problems which required reinstalling some ControlPoint software. As of now, the smart card reader is seen as an unknown device - device manager indicates a code 39 error (cannot load driver). How can I fix this?

    Thanks,
    Harvey

theres an application package and a driver package... you installed both?

(oddly they are both in the Applications section of the Dell downloads site)

Installed all of those (security manager and security manager driver) - did not help. What appears to have solved the problem was to have the driver updated via the "update driver" tab in the device manager. It went out to the web and found and installed the latest Microsoft driver.

    Thanks,
    Harvey
