    Hey guys;

    Weve got three e6500 as a test to see if we like them to replace our current D600-D630 laptops. Myself and two other techs have a working two Monitor setup with the D series docking station with Viewsonic VG2030wm monitors, one is hooked up to VGA and one to DVI.

    So we get the e6500 with the E port and we hook them up the exact same way. We get no DVI signal the monitor remains Amber. This happens on all three laptops and all three docks, We swapped the docks, monitors, DVI cables, dual link and single link and nothing. We even bought a display port / DVI cable to rule out the dock and that still doesnt work

    Now the odd thing is that I took mine home hooked it up to my 21 inch Samsung and it worked fine with the display port cable on DVI. One of the other techs has a 21' planar monitor and that worked fine too.

    So it seems to be some sort of issue with the Viewsonic VG2030wm monitors, weve called Viewsonic and they told us to pound sand since the monitors are a standard and go contact Dell and of course Dell tell us it works fine with their Dell monitors and they cant help us with 3rd party hardware.

    Weve escalated but dont know what that will do. has anyone seen this issue or has any ideas?

    Thx!
