    Hi,

I ve bought an displayport to hdmi kit for my dell e6500. I connected it to my lcd samsung with HDMI 1.3. The image is fine but no sound from my displayport.

So is displayport enable to send sound from E6500 to HDMI?

    Is anyone try it?

    Wich configuration is needed?

Thanks a lot for your reponse.

You need to change your default playback device in windows. Change from Speaker to something like HDMI or Digital Output.

If you want to run 1920*1200 on the external monitor too you need to buy a montor that can handle atleast that resolution.
