e6500 buttons

    with this laptop, they have buttons above the touch pad, they say they are mouse buttons, never seen them before, how does it work and do people use them? thx for any input.

    They are supposed to be used with the trackpoint, though you could use them with the touchpad I suppose.

    The center one is for scrolling with the trackpoint.

    Even my ancient D800 has them (left and right mouse button above and below the trackpad) but the E-series has three buttons.

    I tend to use the ones below the trackpad, unless I'm holding the laptop in my hands temporarily, then I use the ones between keyboard and trackpad, but in general I find those ones awkward to use.
