    Battery Wear Level

I use the battery about 2-3 times a week.I have my laptop for 6 weeks now.Every time I use the battery under levels of 20% of charge the wear level drops.I havent discharged it under 20% for 3 weeks now and it is stable.

I know that when you discharge the battery so much it calibrates it's wear level.Do I really damage my battery when I discharge it so much? Now that I am avoiding discharge levels under 20% does the battery only seem to have stabilized it's wear level and once it recalibrates it will show the acctual wear level?

I am at 14% of wear level already

    Hey guys,

Can anyone confirm me that the hard drive bay is compatible with the Crucial M4 ? It is a 9.5mm SSD.

I ask this because my laptop came with a 7mm hard drive.

    Thanks

On a E6420, has anyone successfully replaced their 1366x768 monitor to a 1600x900 resolution?

Would anyone know if the following monitor made by LG, with 1600x900 - LP140WD1 [Dell P/N: GJ494] is compatible with the below Intel HD Graphics 3000 card? Or would this mandate an NVidia card?

M4 works. I just tested one out in an attempt to replace my C300. No dice. The C300 is actually faster for real world.

FWIW, I was able to replace the WiFi card in mine with the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 with no hassle whatsoever. Laptop had 3rd antennae tucked under and I just downloaded the driver beforehand. Works great.

I'm considering upgrading from my current E6400 to an E6420. Anybody care to advise if they think it would be worth it? I'm also considering getting the new Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. Anyone with the 6420 play this? Can the nvidia card play it decently?

Hi guys... looking for help, advice or whatever:) just recently bought e6410 i5-2520, 8GB, Intel/Nvidia, HD+... nice laptop, always had a good experience with Dell.. BUT... i am not a big game player but from time to time i playing easy game, for example Trackmania, very nice and catchy game. I thought with the nVidia 4200nvs it will be ok, seen reviews about this laptop scoring over 5000 in 3D Mark 06.. but my score is something about 1150??? reinstall laptop with original dell drivers from dell site, update bios to 08, ran Win 7 Benchmark, score CPU 7.1, ram 7.5, Graphic for Aero 5.9, bussines and 3d gaming 5.5. i have tried to disabled the optimus in bios, just run on nvidia, 3dmark even same, and fan still on full rpm? so what am i doing wrong? i got the feeling my GPU is defective :( it comes with 3 years warranty, but dont know the original owner, so hopefully i can apply for the warranty... but i am desperate.

Are you running the tests on ac power? The computer will always throttle the gpu power when running from battery for cooling/power saving purposes.
