My E6410 did not come with bluetooth, Does anybody know if the new half height combo cards like the Atheros AR5B225 or Intel 7260 will work with this laptop? Looks like I can pick one of these up quite a bit cheaper than getting the bluetooth card and cable.

    Thanks!

OK, since I didn't get any feedback, I bought a Dell 1703 (Atheros AR5B225) since they are cheaper than the Intel cards on eBay. While it appears that the HW and drivers install OK for both the wifi and BT, I could not get any of my BT devices to connect. In fact it didn't even appear as if the card was "searching" for BT devices to pair with in my E6410 as none of my devices ever showed up. FYI, my E6410 is running Windows 7 Ent. Wifi on the other hand worked without issue.

Funny thing, when I installed the card in my Acer Aspire 5251 (which was also lacking built-in BT) running Windows 8.1 Ent, BT works flawlessly, so fortunately I've got a use for the card.

So my questions remains, is there any wifi/BT combo card known to work with E6410s?

    Thanks!

I don't see many reasons why the Intel 7260 wouldn't work. There are Dell drivers available for this card for the E7440 (maybe even for more laptops), and I can't imagine the architecture of your unit to be much different. Order it and give it a try, I'd say : )
