Could you explain your point? Are WWAN antennas always installed? Does the Latitude on Module sit in the place where sim/etc. modules would be placed?

I don't get, which parts/options preclude (ausschließen) each other.

latitude ON FLASH precludes a WWAN card; it doesn't sit in the same slot but all latitude on FLASH systems come without the antennas (it may share the same pcielanes with the wwan slot but i'm not 100% sure)

My E4300 (which doesn't have Latitude On) contains this radio switch board
which seems to be an additional complication created by Latitude On.

Dell haven't yet posted the E6410 service manual so we can figure out the wiring arrangement in the E6410 but I wonder if the radio switch board is part of the difference in the systems equipped for Latitude On. Or have they simplified the antenna switching problem by making WWAN and Latitude On mutually exclusive?

This is important to me. I need the ability to install my own wwlan card. The quote I received from Dell for the one I am going to order in June has something called a "Latitude On Reader". Should I be concerned?

No Problem, Latitude On READER is ok. There are no WWAN Antennas if you order Latitude On FLASH.

startup time with the ssd is awesome (20secs to fully loaded desktop + Firefox start); same goes to application performance (autocad/revit/3dmax/PS CS4)

i can fully recommend this laptop to everyone looking for a notebook in this price region :)
