I have a Dell Latitude E6410 with 64 bit Windows 7. It currently has 3GB of memory.

I would like to upgrade the memory on my machine.

How do I know what slots are free for a memory upgrade and what is the maximum I can upgrade to?

The best way to find out is to open her up. I would assume there are two slots since I've never heard of a 3g stick but you never know. Since it comes with 64bit it will support at least 4 gigs.

You likely have a 2 + 1 GB configuration. You can remove those and put 4 + 4 GB. You might be able to do 2 x 8 GB, I never tested my E6410 with 16 GB.

Thanks for the replies. Would my laptop support 8GB or 16GB?
