I just read a post stating only the WXGA+ are led screens is this true? On the Dell Outlet all E6400 models are listed as LED including the WXGA (1280X800) Can anyone confirm they have a WXGA (1280X800) that is actually LED not CCFL? CCFL is not even listed as an option when configuring a new E6400.

    Thanks, Dennis

No, all of the E6400 should be LEDs from what I understand.

They recently switched from offering WXGA CCFL and WXGA+ LED to offering both WXGA and WXGA+ to LED.

HOWEVER, use caution. I have heard from someone on these forums that right after they switched to all LED, he/she ordered a E6400 that Dell claimed was LED, only to find out it was CCFL.

On your receipt their will be a order number click it and it will bring you to a Dell page where they show what kind of Display you actually have. My reciept said LED as thats what I ordered but the info on Dells site says:

    Module,Liquid Crystal Display 14.1WX,Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp,SEC,R/H

I would check because many have been mislabeled with the WXGA.

Looks excellent... I have zero complaints. I thought that the the low resolution would bother me, coming from a 1400x1050 thinkpad, but I have grown to like it. This screen is MUCH easier on the eyes.
