I'm buying a E6400 really soon. I want to be sure of one thing though: will my external 20" Dell monitor (1680 X 1050) can be used as the main monitor and the E6400 monitor as the second monitor? Note that I want dual view, which means monitors are not clones, each has its own resolution, etc.

Can someone confirm this is possible with the intergrated Intel card? With the NVIDIA card?

    Thanks in advance!

Shouldn't be a problem. I'll try tomorrow at home for 100% certainty and let you know.

Thanks so much! I want to be 100% sure before buying. Do you have the intel or NVIDIA card?

I know that Greg runs two big monitors off the Intel GPU.

I'm sure two monitors are possible. The question I was not not sure is if the external monitor can be the main one and the laptop monitor the second one, in a dual view mode.. I know some graphic cards that don't let you do that on a laptop!
