The picture says it all; note the top chart. The temps are not too high either... the fan sounds like it is on full. This laptop is barely three months old, so dust caking up the fans and vents is not an issue yet.

This happens when I am taxing the CPU for extended periods of time (I play TF2 on this laptop).

    Specifications:
    P8400 @ 2.26 Ghz w/Intel X4500MHD onboard graphics
    4GB RAM
    Windows Server 2008 Standard x64
    RMClock v2.35

Also, I have set my voltage to as low as RMClock would allow me to go (i.e., 0.925V) for all multipliers. Inspite of that, we see spikes in the voltage for some reason. Does anyone know why this happens?

    Hi slander

Do you actually have any problems? To be honest, there's no point worrying about lines on a graph unless it impacts the performance of your computer.

Sorry I can't offer an explanation about the spikes, but unless you actually experience some kind of problem or slow down when in use, then I doubt there's anything to worry about (and being three months old, you should be covered by Dell's warranty should anything go awry).

Run Wprime for 5-10mins , your processor will be at 100% and should not drop till the test ends or you stop it.
