Dell has sent me 3 E6400 computers and all of them fail when using the docking station and then the BUILT IN Verizon card. I have more than 50 hours with technical support. Finally they put me with their top tier support. You will not believe their answer! I would never belive it if it wasn't in writing so I am going to copy it here for you...

    Hi Keith,

I haven't been able to duplicate the issue because our lab does not carry non-Dell parts. Specifically the Verizon, Sprint or AT&T air cards. I have attached a shipping label. If you have a spare one to send I would appreciate it.

    Thanks.

What a joke, they want me to send my computer to them again for the 4th time rather than find a Verizon card??? Not sure about you but I use my computer and don't really have the time to send them it. Buyer beware.

so you're saying they should run out, buy a Verizon card, and activate it just to troubleshoot your problem?

That's a little perplexing to me. It sounds like you are encountering an undocumented problem, and they are trying to help you fix it.

Perhaps you can negotiate with them to send them just the Verizon card?
