Guys, I thought you'd all want to know that I burned an install DVD of Visual Studio 2008 from DreamSpark and used it.

The entire install process worked, with no errors like corrupted files or failure to read the DVD.

I also have the PLDS DVD+/-RW DU-8A2S, like pretty much everyone else on the forums that has the E6400 with a DVD burner.

We'll be burning DVD #2 later on today, a Windows Preinstalled Environment CD called BartPE...I use it with Acronis True Image to do my restorations of data.

Probably just trying to eliminate the culprit that's been causing problems for others, just seeing what works for you. :p

Well, to be exact I have Vista Business 32bit Edition...and Sonic MyDVD v7.0 installed. I burned an Visual Studio 2008 ISO to a Fujifilm DVD+/-RW that supports up to 4x burning.
