Have a week old E6400 running Win 7 (64 bit pro), with 2.8 processor and Nvidia graphics with 4 gigs of ram. So far runs great and no complaints so it carries on in the D620 and D630 traditions. BUT it takes just over two minutes from turn on until I get the Windows logo. That seems a bit long...very long. Anyone else experiencing this or been able to speed up the post?

What anti-virus are you running? How much of the Dell ControlPoint software is installed? (I use just the power management module).

PS: I changed the thread title to E6400 since that is what is in your post.

It took Dell two tries but on the second try they nailed it. Bios wasn't set to 'fast boot'. Once that was changed the E6400 booted in about three seconds.
