    Hi!
I got my E6400 + regular dock few weeks ago.
    I'm working with Windows 7 64bit.
When the dock is connected and I'm transfer files from computer in my network to the E6400.. The fan start work at full power and it's very annoying.
    my temp is:
    Core 0 - 33C (89F)
    core 1 - 36C (95F)
    ACPI - 42C (106F)
    HDD - 44C (111F)

the processor is T9550 (I'm undervolting the processor).

    1)The temps are normal?
2)It's normal that for this kind of work (copy files) the fan need to work at full speed? (Moreover, The air near the fan is NOT hot!)
3)There is a way to change the fan speed?

I wonder if this is related to the throttling problem that some people encounter. The root cause appears to be that the fan trigger points one one of the other temperature sensors is set far too low. Using a dock seems to make the problem worse. We believe that Dell is (slowly) working in this problem.

If you are willing to push your disappointment and elevate your problem, it will help push for a BIOS fix.
What is your GPU: Intel or Nvidia?

    my GPU is Intel.
    I'm from Israel.
I don't belive that calling Dell Israel support will help push a bios fix!

    Yea... could be throttling.

You are too negative. If Dell only has a few reports, believe me, they (even myself), won't even care.
I suggest to call, and seek for a motherboard and heatsink replacement. You know, to rule out a bad motherboard, or heatsink. If the problem persist than push Dell. It will eventually reach Michael Dell :)
