I tried a quick search but didn't come up with anything...

On my e6400, once in a while the wifi connection is intermittent and drops out for 10-15 seconds, comes back for a while, then drops out again. This doesn't happen all of the time, but is happening now as I type this out with it on my lap.

I'll admit I haven't really tried to diagnose. This has the following wifi card:
Dell Wireless 1510 802.11a/g/n Draft Mini Card

I have a DLink 614+ wireless router. Admittedly this thing is old, maybe 6 years of use, can't complain there. But, I was wondering if there were any known issues.

on your dell, configure the wifi by just using b/g/n ; remove a

but on most cases, it's the router that has the problem and not the wifi of the laptop

normally, the router doesn't support ipv6. what do you do upgrade the router's firmware so that it can support ipv6

    or

you can disable ipv6 on your laptop

Thanks. I checked and ipv6 is not installed on mine.

There is a firmware update for my DLink that I'll download. But, I looked and couldn't find a way to remove "a" functionality . Of course, now it's not doing it..... it's strange how it only does it sometimes...... sunspots? :)
