    Ive never even considered turning it off; can someone comment on how much battery life might be saved when off?

    ah... you disable it manually from device manager

    switch disables both

    Control Panel -> Bluetooth Devices -> Bluetooth Settings -> Turn off Bluetooth

    Ive looked there; I dont seem to have the "Turn Off the Bluetooth Adapter" option.
