I just undocked (where I have two monitors) and am now using Outlook with a LinkedIn addon feature on my laptop. For some reason, when I open the LinkedIn app, the screen that opens is nowhere to be found. Its in mytaskbar but when I open and close it, its flying off to the right as if there were a second display still attached.

I checked the display settings and I am on one monitor.

Any idea how I can get that window to display on this screen?

Is the logical resolution of your screen set higher than the physical resolution?

Im not sure i understand what the difference is between logical and physical resolutions, but the resolution is at its normal setting on the laptop, when mobile.

This has happened to me before. It's not a problem specific to Latitudes though, but rather Windows overall. The only way I've found to fix it unfortunately was to reconnect my second monitor and drag it back into the primary display.

Are you on Windows Vista or 7 or XP?
If you're on 7, just do windows+p and select "computer only".
If you're on Vista, you'll have to either reconnect or play around in the display settings to try to get it to reset (detect displays, etc, whatever is there).
If you're in XP, just reconnect.

This is not supposed to occur under Win7.

For folders, the windows size & position setting memory is per resolution. If you put a window on the bottom-right edge of the screen of 1440x900, then go to 1920x1200, your window will open like if you just installed Windows... but as soon as you return back to 1440x900 it will position and size it to the last time you place at that very same resolution.

For software, when you lower the resolution, program should reposition itself within your screen area.
