Hi all, I just did a vista clean install in my E6400. I've installed all drivers, do I need to install:

    1. CHIPSET: Intel Driver - appllies to Mobile chipset
    2. SYSTEM UTILITIES: Dell Utility - applies to System Software

My laptop is running fine right now. The only problem was: when I do clean install WITHOUT external mouse attached; vista was having a hard time finding driver for my USB microsoft optical mouse. It is generic USB and it is Microsoft mouse, but I wasn't able to use it.

The only way to resolve this was: when I install vista, I attached the external mouse, and no complain whatsoever after.

Is this because I did not install the 2 aboves?

    Can anyone confirm?
