E6400 animated mouse cursor fix for XP

    There is/was a problem with animated mouse cursors on my E6400. They freeze and are completely unanimated once you touch the touchpad.

    Win XP solution:

    Start regedit and set CursorChangeType value to 0. The value is located in:

    HKCU\Software\Alps\Apoint
    HKLM\Software\Alps\Apoint
    HKLM\Software\Alps\Apoint_Default\

    I have no idea what this parameter really does and I have no idea which one is actually used so I changed all three. And now my mouse cursor is wagging its tail happily :)

    I've just noticed that my cursors are no longer animated under Vista x86 too. Is this something that everyone else is experiencing? Is there a fix?
