Anything 900p or higher needs both LVDS channels. :(

Ya likely you'd need a dual channel LVDS as E6320 isn't sold with anything higher than 1368x768. IIRC Dell doesn't really whitelist screens anymore. There was the E6220 thread with the Lenovo X220's 12.5" IPS screen transplant, should be a straight swap.

Gee I guess I'll buy another one just to try a screen cable from the e6420

That would be great if it worked. IMO a 13" with 900 vertical pixel is perfect either 1600 or 1440 wide.

Can you post a pic of the connectors on both ends of the cable? I have a cable from an E6410 with the 1440x900 screen. If there's a chance this works I'll consider this myself, an E6320 with the 900p screen..

Unfortunately the e6410 cable is likely to be different, but you can try it yourself now. The e6520 cable is under 20$. I'm not going to buy another e6320 to try it tho, I've decided its too heavy. I may try on a Vostro v131 but first a toshiba r835.
