    Hi,

I'm in the market for a new laptop. Looking at a 13"-14" screen, mid-hi-res screen.

    Any views on the E5400 configured with 2gb ram, 250gb 5400 HD, 2.26processor, 1440x900 screen, 2gb ram, 4cell. = £514.00+vat.

I've not seen any reviews of this model, any views? Other suggestions?

    Cheers

Try the E6400? Might be a bit more expensive but better built and specs.

I'd prefer to get the e6400 but can't stretch the budget. Really at the max now. Any other suggestions?

    thanks

The E5400 does look very attractive as a budget configurable 14.1" notebook. Perhaps it is no coincidence that the 14.1" Vostro disappeared recently.
