    Hello,

I dont see any option to change my GPU to INTEL HD when im working on battery :(

No BIOS option - no driver option.

I thought that there will be such an option to save my battery life during simple WORD - EXCEL work.

I have ATI FirePro M5950 z 1 GB RAM on board.

Furthermore when im working only on battery my system performance is so low that i cannot watch movie :(((

Can you please tell me what i should do with do this?

Only nVidia cards support nVidia Optimus technology to swith graphics on low usage or battery run. AMD/ATI doesn't have this, so you can not use Intel HD graphics to save battery power.

This is really strange. Even my old home laptop can do this using MediaPlayerClassic (MPC-HC).

They do have it, it's just that the Dell opted not to support it on these Precision models. Not sure what the reason was exactly (maybe since they consider the AMD cards to be budget cards, they chose not to pay extra for the licensing or maybe even having to support a separate motherboard variant).

So if i would change the graphic card to NVIDIA do you think that i will have that option? This is stupid thing to disable that option which allows me to save my battery in situation when i have all hardware needed :(((
