    Hello everyone

    I purchased this memory for my comp on amazon : Amazon.com: Corsair 8GB (2x 4GB) 1333mhz PC3-10666 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM Laptop Memory Kit CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9: Electronics

After I put it in, my computer wouldn't boot. The hard drive would start to spin, then the comp shut down. The caps lock flashed afterward I put the old ram back in and it worked, but when I tried putting the new then old again, I had the same problem with the old. After taking it out and putting it back in a few times, it started to work.

I tried to put one old and one new, and each new one by itself, but comp still wouldn't boot.

Any ideas? or time to send it back to amazon?

My initial though is that there's something wrong with the memory, but the symptoms sound serious enough that it may be your motherboard failing.

    Have you tried running memtest?
