I just purchased an e4300 last week. Whenever I try to stream hulu, or sometimes vids from youtube the computer locks up. It is really starting to get frustrating. I seem to have the latency issue in check. I read in a thread to download intels matrix storage manager, and that helped. I have also disabled the esata ports and LAN. I am running vista buisness x86 sp1. I am just using the drivers that came on the install cd. I am hoping that someone can help me out, because if I cant get this fixed I might just return it. I really like this computer and dont want to have to do that. TIA

If you download the video to hard disk first and then play it back, does it still lock up?

I would try using a different browser, and reinstalling flash.

Try transferring a large file over network and see if it crashes.

It does not lock up if its playing from the hdd. I tried firefox and ie. Just reinstalled flash, will see if that works.

I have also transferred 20 gigs or so through my network and that plays fine.

I have this problem too. It's very annoying. Streaming flash video also skips a lot.

seems like it's driver related, since I have a 4300 running Fedora 10 and it works great.

I reinstalled vista for the heck of it, and it seems to of fixed the problems. This time I didnt use the resource cd and I downloaded the newest drivers from dells site. I also installed intel's matrix storage manager. I also upgraded the bios.

I just ordered a refurb E4300 from the Outlet, and am worried that I'll have this freezing problem too. Hoostie, have you had any more freezes since your fresh install of Vista?

Yesterday it froze on me a couple of times. I am going to do my best to try and get this problem figured out.
