e4300 LCD replacement

The LCD on my e4300 was cracked recently. I've been looking at the replacement parts available and am not sure what my options are. My current LCD is matte 1280x800, no webcam.

1. Can I purchase and install any model screen assembly I want and have it work properly? For example, could I replace it with a glossy LCD with webcam and have the screen and webcam work properly?
2. If my LCD has a CCFL backlight, does the replacement need the same, or can I buy one with the LED backlight?

You can get any screen that came from an E4300 and it should work properly. Screens from other models may work, but it's never a guarantee.

I don't think any E4300 came with CCFL backlights, but if yours did, you should be able to swap to an LED backlit screen. You may need to change some of the wires or even the lid, though.

 

I have the same question. For you to tell if you have led or ccfl. Is check if you have a inverter that requires power. Led screens only/usually have one connector for the display and power.

Please post back with which lcd you changed for the E4300.

 

There is only one screen option for the E4300, and it's a LED-backlit matte 1280x800 screen. You'll be on your own with any other type of screen, so I would just get an OEM replacement from eBay.
